Cookie Policy
This policy explains which cookies apefo.ltd uses and how you can control them. The site uses strictly necessary cookies only. No analytics platform is installed, and no advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies are commonly used to keep someone signed in, to remember a preference between pages, or to measure how a site is used. They can be set by the site you are visiting, or by another organisation whose content or scripts that site loads.
Similar technologies, such as browser local storage, work in comparable ways. Where this policy refers to cookies, it covers those technologies as well. This policy applies to apefo.ltd only.
Cookies this site uses
apefo.ltd is a WordPress site running the Blocksy theme and the Fluent Forms plugin. The only cookies it uses are strictly necessary ones: cookies needed for the site to function or to deliver something you have specifically asked for. Reading pages on this site does not, by itself, place a cookie on your device.
- WordPress session and authentication cookies. These are set only when someone signs in to the site’s administration area. They identify the signed-in account and keep that session secure. They apply to the people who administer this website; visitors who do not sign in are never issued them.
- Form submission cookies. Fluent Forms, the plugin behind the contact form, may set a cookie in connection with submitting a form. Any such cookie is set because you chose to complete and send a form, not as a result of ordinary browsing.
This policy does not publish a table of individual cookie names, values or expiry periods. Those are determined by WordPress and by the plugin, and they can change when that software is updated. A fixed table would become inaccurate without anyone noticing, so the categories above describe the position honestly instead.
Cookies this site does not use
For the avoidance of doubt, this site does not use:
- Advertising, retargeting or ad measurement cookies.
- Analytics cookies. No analytics or visitor-measurement platform is installed on this website.
- Third-party tracking cookies or social media pixels.
- Cookies that build a profile of you, or that pass information about your visit to advertising networks or data brokers.
Because the site sets no cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones, it does not display a cookie consent banner. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary to provide a service the user has requested. Consent would be required for anything beyond that, and this site does not currently rely on it.
How to control cookies in your browser
You can control cookies yourself through your browser settings, independently of this site. Every current browser allows you to see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or all at once, block cookies from a particular site, or block them altogether.
The exact steps differ between browsers and change between versions, so the reliable source is the privacy or help section of the browser you actually use. We do not reproduce those instructions here, because they would date without warning.
Blocking cookies will not prevent you reading anything on apefo.ltd. If you block cookies entirely, signing in to the administration area will not work, and a form submission may not behave as intended.
Changes to this policy
This policy describes the website as it is currently configured, and it is reviewed when the site’s theme, plugins or hosting arrangements change.
If software is added to this site that sets cookies beyond the strictly necessary ones described above, this policy will be updated before or at the point that software goes live, and a consent mechanism will be put in place where the law requires one. We will not begin analytics or advertising tracking on this site while this page states that none is in use.
Privacy and contact
How Apefo Ltd handles personal data, including information you send through the contact form and the basis on which it is processed, is set out in our privacy policy.
